What to Expect

Timing

There can be anywhere between 2-7 weeks between the time of recording and release. The schedule for your episode will be shared in advance once it’s been set.

    Guest Agreement

    1. Participation Agreement

    • The guest confirms that the information shared is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

    2. Content Usage Rights

    • The guest grants Built for Home the right to record, edit, distribute, and promote the episode across platforms (e.g., Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts).
    • Built for Home may create derivative content, including quotes, clips, and social media posts from the episode.

    3. Intellectual Property

    • The guest retains the rights to any trademarks, logos, or proprietary information shared during the interview.
    • Built for Home owns the final recording, edits, and promotional assets related to the episode.

    4. Confidentiality and Sensitive Information

    • Both parties agree not to share confidential or proprietary business information that is not meant for public release.
    • The guest is responsible for avoiding any disclosures that may violate confidentiality agreements or NDAs.

    5. Guest Responsibilities

    • The guest will provide accurate information and meet agreed-upon deadlines (e.g., submitting images or completing the guest questionnaire).
    • The guest ensures they will participate in the recording at the scheduled time with the appropriate setup (e.g., quiet room, internet access).

    6. Editing and Approval

    • Built for Home reserves the right to edit the podcast for clarity, flow, and time constraints.
    • While the guest may request corrections of factual inaccuracies, final editing decisions rest with Built for Home.

    7. Promotional Activities

    • Built for Home will provide the guest with promotional assets (e.g., graphics, audio clips) for optional use on their own platforms.
    • The guest is encouraged, but not obligated, to promote the episode through their networks.

    8. Cancellation or Rescheduling

    • Either party may cancel or reschedule the recording with sufficient notice (recommended: 48-72 hours).
    • In case of unexpected events or technical issues, Built for Home will work to reschedule the session at a mutually convenient time.

    9. Liability

    • Built for Home is not liable for any statements made by the guest during the episode.
    • The guest is responsible for any legal claims arising from inaccurate or defamatory statements.

    10. Changes to the Agreement

    • Built for Home reserves the right to update these terms and will notify the guest in the event of any significant changes.
